Please find responses below to some of the frequent questions we are asked. If your query is not covered in the list or if you wish to give feedback on the service provided by VENUEMASTERS and the member venues, please use the contacts form.

What is the link between VENUEMASTERS and Meetingvenuesuk, Groupstayuk and Budgetstayuk?

All three sites are owned an operated by VENUEMASTERS. Each site promotes the appropriate facilities at each venue either in the meeting venues, group accommodation or budget breaks markets

Is there a fee involved to use the search system?

No, our professional team will process your enquiry, made via either MeetingVenuesUK or GroupStayUK, free of charge and there are no hidden costs.

Do VENUEMASTERS receive commission when I book a meeting room?

There is no commission on meeting venues or group accommodation bookings made as a result of using our enquiry service. VENUEMASTERS do receive a small commission for bookings made via the Budgetstayuk online booking system. Our main income comes from an annual membership fee paid by the venues we represent.

Do venues pay commission to agencies?

Some venues will pay commission and they can be contacted directly to check this.

How long will it take for venues to respond to my enquiry?

A list of venues which can accommodate your meeting venues or accommodation enquiry will be sent to you within 24 hours. Our member venues then have another 24 hours to respond to you directly, although you may hear from some venues before this time.

Are venues just available during student vacations?

Although there are more meeting rooms and bedrooms available during vacation periods, over 30 meeting venues now have dedicated year round facilities and many more have some campus facilities available year round including evenings and weekends.

What do the rates include?

Day delegate rate - this rate generally includes meeting facilities, audio visual and catering requirements.
24-hour rate - this rate generally includes meeting facilities, accommodation & catering, and in many cases will also include use of AV equipment and leisure facilities.
Group B&B rate - this rate generally includes bedroom accommodation and breakfast for groups of 10 or more.

Please note however that these details do vary between venues and the exact requirements of the customer so must be confirmed at the time of your booking.
