Event Exeter helps City's businesses thrive
March 2010
The University of Exeter's event and conferences arm, Event Exeter, has launched a new marketing campaign attracting UK-wide organisations holding conferences and meetings to the city.
The Campaign entitled Grow your Business is designed to highlight the service offered by the University across its city centre campus, catering for meetings and lectures involving anything from 10 to 1435 delegates, all within 300 acres of botanical gardens. The campaign will also focus on the University's proximity to Exeter's transport hubs, the available parking facilities and the extensive catering offerings that sets it apart from any other UK conference venues.
Sarah Snow, Event Exeter Head of Sales and Marketing said, "We are intricately linked with the City's business community so this is the perfect way to help UK organisations grow their own business, at the same time generating valuable income for the local and region's economy. With so many different venues rich in history and architecture, we offer a unique location in the heart of Exeter with beautiful, relaxed surroundings creating the best possible environment to spur new business ideas and help organisations grow in the coming year."
The campaign will involve a mix of traditional and online public relations activities as well as direct marketing and driving web enquiries through www.eventexeter.com. To generate immediate interest, Reed Hall's Garden Room is also being offered free of charge throughout April for the first 10 organisations booking for boardroom or day meetings. For full flexibility, the room can be booked for anything from an hour to a full day, with the only costs involved being refreshments including tea and coffee.
The University hosts hundreds of business events year-round across venues including Reed Hall. For further information about the campaign and Event Exeter, visit www.eventexeter.com or call 01392 215566
