Summer Parties at the Royal Society, Carlton House Terrace
March 2010
The Royal Society, Carlton House Terrace is proud to offer its Terrace for summer parties this year. With views across the Mall and St James' Park, this vast area provides a stunning location for a summer reception. Direct access is provided through the prestigious City of London Rooms which offer an elegant inside space in case of inclement weather.
In house caterers Harbour and Jones have a tempting range of catering ideas to ensure your party leaves a lasting impression. Suggestions include an all-English style reception with award winning English sparkling wines and canapés prepared with locally sourced ingredients to Middle Eastern inspired barbeque style menu items such as butterflied leg of lamb served in home-made flatbreads.
Based in the heart of London, just a few minutes from Piccadilly and Charing Cross tube stations, the Royal Society occupies 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, which is a Grade 1 listed building designed by John Nash in 1827.
For over 300 years the Royal Society has held some of the most important events in the scientific world, and indeed every event we host must have a scientific purpose or element. The most eminent scientific organisations, corporations and academies in Europe choose the Royal Society as the prestigious setting for their event.
