University of Leeds achieve a first

The University of Leeds Residential and Commercial Services (RCS), which includes the University's conferencing and events department is celebrating after being recognised as an Investor in People for over 10 years, the first department at the University to achieve this accreditation.
Kim Whitaker, Training Coordinator for RCS said; "We're delighted to have achieved this recognition. Focusing on this award has improved our business planning, and better communication means that staff take more ownership and responsibility for their work, and in turn the customer sees improved service levels.
"The assessor's report commented on the positive and supportive culture within the department, something we are extremely proud of and we look forward to meeting the criteria to continue this recognition for many years to come."
