Time for tea at Regents College
May 2010
Regents College welcomed 200 guests to step through the looking glass and into its gardens for an Alice in Wonderland themed party. The event was to launch the venue's new summer BBQ package and showcase the possibilities of the 11-acre grounds, which offer a tranquil space close to London's Baker Street tube.
Jemma Powell, who starred in Tim Burton's 2010 reworking of Alice in Wonderland as Alice's sister dropped by to enjoy a Mad Hatter's Tea party with Rachel Azzopardi, conference manager for Regent's College.
Azzopardi said: "We've never really promoted the gardens before, but they are ideal for family fun days or teambuilding activities, located in central London but a world away from the hustle and bustle."
Motivaction organised activities at the event including cup cake decorating and giant games, while in-house caterers Charlton House laid on a hog roast.
Regent College's traditional BBQ package starts from £85 plus VAT pp (minimum 100 people), which includes full day hire of the York Lawns, summer marquee with lighting and furniture, BBQ menu and security and staffing.
