The Wessex Conference Centre launches Fish & Game Event
June 2010
Although it hasn't fully hit us yet, summer is definitely here and across Hampshire, businesses are coming up with all sorts of events for the warmer weather. The Wessex Conference Centre at Sparsholt College is no exception, as this popular venue provider based at Sparsholt College near Winchester, is gearing up for the Hampshire Food Festival that is taking place throughout July.
"This year, we are fully embracing the local produce theme of the Hampshire Food Festival with our Fish & Game Event on 18th July" said Anne McDonald, Catering, Conference and Events Manager at The Wessex Conference Centre. Making use of the trout and deer bred at Sparsholt College by the students, The Wessex Conference Centre's Fish & Game Event will provide visitors with an insight into the breeding and rearing of trout and deer, allowing them to follow the course each product takes before reaching the plate!
"Our Executive Chef will be demonstrating simple trout and venison recipes for our guests to try both at the event and at home," says Anne. "Fresh Trout from Sparsholt's lake and the college's ‘home-grown' venison will be on sale to the public on the day."
The Fish and Game Event will be held outside Westley Court at Sparsholt College on Sunday 18th July and admission is by ticket only. "There will be a morning session starting at 10.30am and an afternoon session starting at 12.30pm," Anne said. "Tickets are limited, so guests will need to book in advance to avoid disappointment."
Admission is £10 per adult and £7.50 per child and tickets can be obtained by contacting us on the details below
