Well Met Conferencing gains four nominations at the Leeds Hotel Association Awards
June 2010
Well Met Conferencing at Leeds Metropolitan University, which has celebrated a run of recent award successes including ‘Best New Venue in Yorkshire 2010' and an award for 'Best Marketing activity', is once again celebrating following four nominations at the Leeds Hotel Association Awards and a highly commended in the category of Top Team.
The award ceremony was hosted at Elland Road Stadium by the Leeds Hotel Association. The awards are designed to celebrate and reward the talent, dedication and commitment to excellence of the city's hotel and conferencing trade, particularly highlighting the achievements of the conferencing and hospitality staff who demonstrate exceptional standards in each of the six award categories.
Mike Crowther, from the Institute of Customer Service and head of the judging panel, said:
"We were overwhelmed by the high standard of nominations this year, which made judging more difficult than ever. Due to the high calibre of the entries we had to add in not only runner up prizes but also a highly commended category. This is a truly magical evening and I am honoured to share this with the people who make Leeds such a fabulous place to visit and work."
Well Met Conferencing was nominated in the categories of Bright Idea and Leeds Live It Love It for its Ambassador Programme. Seen as at the forefront of relationship marketing, Well Met has been showcased as an example for how a city-wide scheme should operate. The nomination takes into account the quality marketing material for their Ambassador Programme, in addition to the concept, the way in which the campaign was implemented and the revenue generated into the city.
Well Met was also nominated for Exceptional Customer Service and for Top Team for which it was highly commended. This is testament to the hard work and dedication of the Well Met Conferencing team who are committed to continually achieving the highest standards. These two award nominations highlight both individual and team success.
Kate Pitcher, Business Development Manager for Well Met Conferencing, said: "To be awarded four nominations at this year's Leeds Hotel Association Awards is a massive achievement for us and demonstrates our success across the board. The Well Met Conferencing team continues to raise the profile of the University for conferences and events and provides exceptional customer service."
