Well Met Conferencing is becoming an increasingly popular choice for film and TV directors who are choosing the University's venues as the setting for documentaries, serial dramas, lifestyle programmes and adaptations.

Recent productions have included Channel 4's Red Riding, Sirens and Gok's Teens 'The Naked Truth', BBC 1's Chubby Children and ITV's A Touch of Frost.  Screen Yorkshire and various independent film companies have also chosen Well Met's venues as a backdrop for their productions.

Kate Pitcher, Business Development Manager at Well Met Conferencing, said:  "It is fantastic that location and film directors are seeing the potential of our venues as the setting for their outside broadcasts. The University has such a wide range of venues - from classic listed buildings, picturesque and intimate settings to contemporary city centre structures."

She added:  "Our facilities are also really flexible and can be transformed into just about anything - our venues have been hospitals, police stations and even the Russian Embassy!"

Ben Hepworth, Location Manager for ITV Plc, said:  "One thing is for sure, dealing with Well Met makes my life as a location manager much easier - never any fuss at all just stress fee location booking and always with a smile!"

The range of venues at Well Met Conferencing provide ideal outdoor broadcast locations. City centre venues, the iconic Rose Bowl and the award winning Broadcasting Place provide modern backdrops with great options for panoramic city scenes. Sporting venues Carnegie Pavillion and the Headingley Campus are perfect for cricket, athletics and football scenes and the varied green spaces surrounding the venues, with their modern or historic backdrops, can be used for almost any outdoor scene.
