Well Met achieves AA rating for award-winning accommodation

Staff at Well Met Conferencing are celebrating following an AA inspection that saw the University's dedicated conference and event accommodation, Carnegie Village, receive a 3* rating.
The rating follows a string of successes for Well Met Conferencing who have recently been awarded the prestigious GOLD Accredited in Meetings certification from the Meetings Industry Association - the only University in the UK to achieve the Gold accolade. Carnegie Village also received the 'Leeds Live It Love It' title from Marketing Leeds for its contribution to the local economy.
Kate Pitcher, Business Development Manager at Well Met Conferencing, said: "Receiving the AA rating puts our accommodation on a par with some of the leading conference hotels in the city. We are really proud to have achieved the 3* AA rating and it gives confidence to conference organisers knowing that they are booking good quality accommodation for their delegates.
"We know that Carnegie Village offers high-standard accommodation in a picturesque environment but it is great to be able to back this up with an official rating from the AA."
The AA inspection included a full assessment of the facilities, covering 82 separate points of criteria. Carnegie Village achieved a total of 71 points out of 82, with 11 points not applicable for the venue.
Carnegie Village is an exciting, high-specification residential development offering all year round residential conference facilities to delegates. As well as being highly commended by Leeds Architects in 2010, Carnegie Village was also awarded an 'excellent' rating under the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment (Breeam) - the world's leading design and assessment method for sustainable building and was highly recommended at the Green Gown Awards in the Sustainable Construction and Refurbishment category.
Previously used by The England Rugby Union Junior Squad and the Football Association, Carnegie Village is situated in 100 acres of picturesque parkland and includes free parking, free Wi-Fi, 24hr security and brand new fitness facilities.
