Fantastic Events for Venuemasters Members
June 2012
Venuemasters, the consortium representing over 85 academic venues, are thrilled to announce the packed schedule of events set to take place throughout the 2012-13 membership year. With a mix of full day training courses, webinars and networking events plus a two full day Annual Conference, there is something on offer to suit all requirements.
Led by experienced professionals including star of The Apprentice and successful entrepreneur, Ruth Badger, the unmissable training events will focus on sales, marketing and customer service, challenging the way people think in today's ever changing marketplace. The networking events, which will be held in the UK and Barcelona, provide members with the chance to share ideas and best practice with likeminded colleagues, plus gain a broader perspective of the operations of both Spanish and UK universities. For those looking to maximise participation, webinars are the perfect choice, allowing delegates to learn from the comfort of their own venue about key topics within the business leisure and tourism market.
Plans for the popular Annual Conference and AGM are also in progress and it looks set to be another incredible event. Specifically designed for those working in the sales, marketing and operational teams at academic venues, the conference, which is regularly attended by over 100 delegates, will take place on 31 October - 2 November at Warwick Conferences. It's a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues from other venues and pick up some excellent ideas which will leave you feeling inspired about your plans for 2013. A brand new website which is dedicated to the event will be launched in July, providing a comprehensive guide to the packed programme of keynote speakers, breakout sessions and workshops, plus information on booking to attend.
All Venuemasters events are designed with our community for academic venues in mind, focusing on topics our members have suggested and providing opportunities to help them become more successful. Simon Barlow, Marketing and Communications Executive at Queen Mary, University of London commented: "Venuemaster's events are relevant and targeted to the industry they are the only provider able to commission these to our segment's needs"
Marketing Services Manager, Natalie Hudson commented: "It's important for us to develop a relevant and informative programme which meets the needs of our members. Last year's events proved incredibly popular and we are keen to continue to maximise participation levels and encourage people to make the most of their membership of our community for academic venues."
We're always delighted to welcome new venues to the consortium, if you would like more information on the benefits of joining membership, visit www.venuemasters.com and click on the 'Members Website'.
